Online ADHD and Autism Assessments Now Available in 40+ States

I'm excited to share that I'm now offering online ADHD testing, online autism spectrum disorder (ASD) testing, and comprehensive psychological evaluations via telehealth to individuals across the country. If you live in one of the 40+ states that participate in PSYPACT (more on that below), I can work with you virtually, no matter how far you are from Cincinnati.

Why I Decided to Offer Virtual Assessments Beyond Ohio

When I started offering ADHD and autism evaluations at my practice, most of my clients were local. But it didn't take long before I started hearing from people in other parts of Ohio, and then from other states entirely, asking whether I could see them. Some had been on waitlists for months. Others couldn't find a therapist in their area who specialized in adult ADHD assessment or ASD evaluations.

That didn't sit well with me. Getting properly assessed shouldn't depend on your zip code. So when I looked into the logistics of offering online ADHD assessments and online ASD assessments across state lines, and realized that PSYPACT made it not just possible but straightforward, the decision was easy.

What Is PSYPACT?

PSYPACT stands for the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact. It's a legislative agreement among U.S. states that allows licensed psychologists to practice telepsychology across state lines without needing a separate license in each state. Think of it as the thing that lets me, a licensed psychologist in Ohio, offer you an online ADHD assessment or virtual ASD evaluation even if you're sitting in your living room in Texas, Virginia, or Colorado.

As of 2026, over 40 states and jurisdictions participate. You can view the full, up-to-date map of PSYPACT states here.

What Can I Assess Virtually?

I currently offer the following types of online evaluations:

Online ADHD Assessment. A thorough evaluation that follows current best-practice guidelines for diagnosing attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. This includes a detailed clinical interview, a developmental and personal history, standardized rating scales, collateral reports, a test of executive functioning, and screening for co-occurring conditions. The process is efficient but not rushed. You'll receive a detailed written report with your results, a diagnosis (when warranted), and individualized treatment recommendations. If you've been Googling "online ADHD testing near me" and coming up empty, this may be what you've been looking for.

Online ASD Assessment. A comprehensive autism spectrum disorder evaluation that includes a developmental and personal history, validated ASD-specific measures, collateral information, and assessment of co-occurring concerns. Online ASD testing follows the same clinical standards I use in person. Many adults seeking an autism evaluation have suspected for years that they might be on the spectrum but haven't known where to turn. If that's you, I'd encourage you to reach out.

Comprehensive Telehealth Evaluation. This is the most thorough option and is designed for situations where the diagnostic picture is complex or unclear. It includes everything in the ADHD and ASD evaluations plus an objective personality measure that provides detailed information about a wider array of mental health symptoms, personality and interpersonal features, personal strengths, and social and environmental influences. If you or your clinician aren't sure what's going on and want a more complete picture, this is the way to go.

Combined Evaluations. I also offer combined ADHD and ASD evaluations, as well as comprehensive assessments that include ADHD and/or ASD testing. These are helpful when more than one condition may be in play, which is more common than most people realize.

Who Tends to Seek Online ADHD or Autism Testing?

In my experience, people who pursue virtual assessments tend to fall into a few categories:

Adults who have wondered for a long time whether they have ADHD or autism but haven't had a convenient or affordable way to find out. Online ADHD assessment and online ASD assessment make that possible without rearranging your entire schedule.

People in rural areas or states where psychologists who specialize in these evaluations are scarce. Telehealth ADHD testing and virtual ASD evaluations mean geographic distance is no longer a barrier.

Individuals whose therapist, psychiatrist, or physician recommended a formal evaluation but who haven't been able to find someone with availability. If your provider referred you for online ADHD testing or ASD assessment and you're still searching, I likely have openings sooner than you'd expect.

College students and working professionals who need documentation for academic or workplace accommodations but can't afford to take multiple days off for in-person testing. An online ADHD evaluation or ASD assessment can often be completed with less disruption.

Does Online ADHD or ASD Testing Actually Work?

I addressed this in more detail on my virtual evaluations page, but the short version: yes. The research supports it. Remote ADHD assessments have shown "almost perfect" agreement with in-person results. Virtual autism evaluations have also demonstrated strong diagnostic agreement with face-to-face conditions. Professional organizations including the APA and the Inter-Organizational Practice Committee have endorsed telehealth assessment as a reliable and valid approach when done properly. I wouldn't offer it if I wasn't confident in the quality of what I'm providing.

A Note for Out-of-State Providers

If you're a therapist, psychiatrist, or primary care provider in one of the states listed above and you have a client or patient who needs an ADHD evaluation, ASD assessment, or comprehensive diagnostic workup, I'm happy to accept referrals. I make it a priority to produce reports that are detailed, actionable, and useful to the providers who will continue working with the individual after the evaluation is complete.

I'm also available for pre- or post-evaluation consultation if you'd like to discuss referral questions or coordinate care. Don't hesitate to reach out.

How to Get Started with an Online Assessment

If you're interested in scheduling an online ADHD assessment, virtual ASD evaluation, or comprehensive telehealth evaluation, here's how to take the next step:

1. Check your state. Make sure you're in a PSYPACT-participating state.
2. Schedule a free consultation. I offer free 15-minute phone consultations to talk through your situation and determine which type of evaluation is right for you.
3. Book your evaluation. Assessments can be scheduled directly through my online calendar.

If you've been putting this off, I get it. A lot of people do. But if the only thing standing between you and an answer is logistics, that obstacle is gone. I'd encourage you to take the first step.
