Free Adult Autism (ASD) Self-Screen

This brief, research-based questionnaire (the RAADS-14) can help you decide whether a formal autism evaluation might be worth pursuing. It takes about 3 minutes. Your answers are scored privately in your own browser — nothing you enter is saved, sent, or seen by anyone, including this practice.

Please read first. This tool is for adults (18+) and is for educational and self-reflection purposes only. It is not a diagnosis and is not a substitute for a professional evaluation. This screen is intentionally over-inclusive and has a high false-positive rate: many people who are not autistic — including people with anxiety or other concerns — score above its threshold. A “positive” result does not mean you are autistic; it only means a fuller assessment may be worthwhile. A result below the threshold does not rule autism out either. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to your nearest emergency room.

Choose the one answer that best describes how true each statement is, or has been, for you. There are no right or wrong answers.

Please answer every question before viewing your results. The unanswered questions are highlighted above.
